Systems thinking applied to stewardship.

Rob’s professional background has centered on technology, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, and the design of systems that have to work reliably in the real world. Restore Creation turns that systems-minded perspective toward a different set of relationships: water, soil, plants, animals, structures, work, hospitality, family life, and community.

The vision is not nostalgia for a past era or a rejection of useful technology. Rob sees technology and infrastructure as tools that should serve life, stewardship, responsibility, and resilience rather than become ends in themselves. That same lens informs the preference for durable, repairable, teachable systems over brittle complexity.

His writing and public work also reflect an interest in how institutions and systems shape human life. Within Restore Creation, the emphasis is practical: tell the truth about what exists, count the cost, avoid mission drift, and build only what can be stewarded responsibly.

Faith, family, and community.

Rob and Josie describe Restore Creation as a calling they received individually and then discovered they shared. Rob’s role is not to define the vision alone; the project is presented as a family calling with Rob and Josie serving as co-stewards.

His involvement in faith-centered business community, writing, and service provides additional context for why fellowship, honest enterprise, and biblical stewardship are integrated into the vision rather than treated as separate categories.
