The food forest prototype
Faithful with what we have.
We do not have the future farm property yet, but we can care for what is already in our hands. Our backyard food forest prototype is where we are growing plants, learning through daily care, and preparing for the land we hope to steward one day.

A beginning in our backyard
The vision is already putting down roots.
Before there is a farm to welcome guests, there are plants to water, containers to tend, and small signs of growth to notice.
These are photographs of our own backyard prototype, taken in September and October 2026. The banana plants, young trees, and raised bed are part of this season of preparation. They give us a place to begin living out the stewardship we envision on a larger piece of land.

Preparing to move with the vision
Growing for the land ahead.
Many of the young plants are being grown in containers with the intention of bringing them to the future property.
For now, the backyard is a place to care for them and learn. When we have the land, its conditions will help shape where these plants belong in the food forest. We can prepare now while leaving room for the actual site to guide the next step.

Small signs of fruitfulness
There is something to tend today.
The developing bananas are a tangible reminder that preparation can be fruitful in its own season.
We are still waiting for the future farm, but we do not have to wait to practice care, patience, and gratitude. This small planting gives our family work to do now and a living connection to the calling we are preparing for.
September to October 2026
Making room for what is growing.
The early September planting and the October arrangement show this first chapter taking shape. The setting is still our backyard; the work is caring for these plants while we prepare for what comes next.

From prototype to future farm
One faithful step at a time.
This is a small backyard beginning, not the finished food forest or an open farm. Restore Creation does not yet own the future farm property, and visits and stays are not available.
The larger vision remains a place where food, land, family, faith, and hospitality can grow together. We will share what we learn as that vision develops.
